WHAT IS A CCTV CRAWLER INSPECTION
A CCTV crawler inspection involves deploying a remotely operated robotic camera unit through a pipeline to capture high-definition video footage of the internal condition of the pipe. The crawler is controlled by a technician at ground level, who navigates it through the network while live footage is transmitted to an onsite monitor and recorded for post-processing.
This method allows for thorough assessment of pipe condition, structural integrity and the identification of defects — without any excavation or disruption to the surrounding surface or infrastructure.
